The concept is simple: A van that is laid out in such a way that you can "throw" your bike/surf board in the back and drive off to your favourite location. After a day grafting (or chilling) the North-stone van is a great place to entertain, eat and chill.
The rear of our day-vans are divided in two: one side for your kit (surfboards, bikes etc.) the other utilising space for seating, table and a work area at the rear. So where a kitchen would be in a traditional camper there is a large space for surfing equipment, bikes. A more efficient use of space.
If you want the kitchen sink and a full bed then feel free to look into more expensive concepts. These vans are focused on being a base for your day trip than a right out camper.
Space for board, bikes and more. No need to re-arrange things. Open the boot and in they go.
The right side of the van has a storage/usage area. Not strictly speaking a kitchen as there is no sink or hob but it has a large surface for food preparation, large draws and an elevated area.
The basis of the conversion is a "shuttle bus" normally used for transporting 8-9 people. So, instead of modifying an elementary van, the basis our vans is a OEM quality interior with purpose made sound deadening, carpet, lighting and even a rear heater.
Everything can be taken out and the original seats put in allowing for versatile usage. The DVLA definition of the vehicle has not changed so as long as the driver has secured everything then it can be enjoyed as before or even a combination.
The table is multi functional. Fixed directly to the floor seat fixings it is designed to accommodate an industrial cool box and has various heights, from coffee, bed and table height.
